Secondary Teaching Assistant

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment for students across the secondary age range, with the successful Secondary Teaching Assistant becoming a valued part of the school team.

The school is looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant for both day to day and long-term opportunities from September 2026. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 or Key Stage 4 / KS4, working alongside teaching staff to support learning, engagement and progress within the classroom.

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not required
• Experience working within a secondary school setting
• Experience supporting students across KS3 and/or KS4
• A good understanding of the Secondary Curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
