Position: Customer Experience Assistant - Front of House (Part Time)

About The Role

Leeds City College is looking for a welcoming, professional and organised Front of House Customer Experience Assistant to join our dedicated Rothwell Campus, home to our adult counselling provision. This is a key customer-facing role where you will be the first point of contact for students, visitors and staff, creating a positive and supportive environment from the moment they arrive.

Rothwell Campus is a specialist adult learning centre, delivering counselling programmes to students who are developing the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for careers within the counselling profession or for progression to higher-level study. Our learners come from a wide range of backgrounds and are united by a commitment to personal and professional growth.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will manage reception, provide excellent customer service and carry out a range of administrative duties to support the smooth day-to-day running of the campus. You will play an important role in ensuring every visitor has a welcoming experience while contributing to an inclusive environment where adult learners can thrive as they prepare for careers or further study in counselling.

  • Actual salary is £11,814.09 per annum for 18 hours over 40 weeks.
What You Will Do
  • Be the welcoming first point of contact for students, visitors, staff and stakeholders.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience through professional reception and administrative support.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of our dedicated adult counselling campus.
  • Assist with enrolment, and student administration, working closely with curriculum, admissions and student recruitment teams.
  • Provide information and guidance in person, by telephone and via email.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where adult learners feel welcomed, valued and able to succeed.
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues, contributing to an exceptional student experience from enquiry through to achievement.
About You
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a professional, welcoming and supportive approach to responding to enquiries and resolving queries.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing demands and maintain accurate administrative records.
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail, with experience of using digital systems to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively with colleagues across different departments and use initiative to solve problems.
