Hours of work: Minimum of 37 hours per week (based on full time role) or Minimum of 29.6 hours per week (based on part time role 0.8

FTE)

Remuneration: £29,560 - £40,918 (based on a full time role and dependent on qualifications and experience). Pro rata for 0.8

FTE.

We are currently looking for a new member of staff to join our teaching team full-time, or we also welcome applications from those interested in a part-time 0.8

FTE contract (4 days per week).

For this appointment, we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in teaching ballet for contemporary dancers.

At NSCD, we emphasise the importance of situating embodied experience within its cultural context and therefore we are looking for applicants that work with an awareness of how practice relates to cultural, political and sociological issues; and be able to work with inclusive practice at the forefront of their teaching. The applicant will need to be able to deliver physical classwork relevant to contemporary dancers to a high level, engaging with the training, education and creative development of emerging dance artists.

We are particularly interested in applicants from underrepresented groups.

As well as teaching duties, the role will work with colleagues to coordinate and contribute to the planning, development and delivery of an inspiring Higher Education curriculum, within a Conservatoire setting. The postholder will work with the Head of Faculties/Director of Studies in the administration of modules, working with Curriculum Leads to inform currency and development in the teaching of contemporary dancers.

The role will actively contribute to course promotion and student recruitment.
