We are looking for an organised, approachable and proactive Performing Arts Assistant (Variable Hours)to support the smooth running of activities within our School of Drama.
This is a varied role, providing practical and administrative support to staff and students and helping us deliver an excellent experience across our Performing Arts programmes.
What You Will DoYou’ll be a key point of contact for activity taking place within our Playhouse Square studios and other teaching locations. You’ll help coordinate the day-to-day delivery of teaching and student activity, working closely with colleagues across Leeds Conservatoire and with external venues and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the smooth delivery of teaching and student activities within the School of Drama.
- Providing practical and administrative support to staff and students.
- Liaising with internal teams and external venues to help coordinate activity and timetabling.
- Acting as a first point of contact for external hire venues.
- Helping to ensure the Playhouse Square office is organised, well stocked and functioning effectively.
- Supporting administration relating to learning, teaching and promotional activity.
- Acting as a link between the School of Drama, the Students’ Union and students based at Playhouse Square.
- Creating and posting content across the School of Drama’s social media accounts.
You’ll be someone who enjoys working in a busy, creative environment and can confidently manage a varied workload. You’ll be approachable, organised and comfortable working with a wide range of people.
You’ll have strong communication and administrative skills, good attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative to solve day-to-day problems. An interest in performing arts or experience of working within an education, arts or creative environment would be particularly welcome.
This role would suit someone looking for flexible work who enjoys being at the heart of a busy performing arts environment and contributing to a positive experience for students, staff and visitors.
