Primary Teaching Assistant

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment for pupils across the primary age range, with the successful Primary Teaching Assistant becoming a valued part of the school team.

The school is looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant for both day to day and long-term opportunities from September 2026. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will support pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 or Key Stage 2 / KS2, working alongside class teachers to support learning, engagement and development within the classroom.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not required
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and/or KS2
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
