We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Leeds and Wakefield
. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference while gaining valuable experience within education.
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
, you will work closely with an individual pupil, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop confidence and become more independent.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils throughout the school day.
- Supporting children with their learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in the classroom.
- Adapting activities and providing additional support where required.
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and other members of the school team.
- Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and other school activities.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic.
- Passionate about helping children succeed.
- Calm, reliable and consistent in their approach.
- Confident building positive relationships with children.
- Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of different schools and pupils.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational or support setting, is desirable but not essential.
These opportunities are suitable for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and SEND professionals, as well as graduates and individuals looking to begin or develop their career in education.
