Career Teachers is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in North Leeds for a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team this September for the full academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs in a nurturing, inclusive, and highly rewarding educational environment. The role will initially be offered through Career Teachers, with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract directly with the school for the right candidate.
The Role- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs
- Delivering tailored one-to-one and small-group support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Promoting student independence, confidence, and social development
- Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions
- Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
- Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic
- Experienced in education, care, youth work, support work, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communicators with a positive and proactive attitude
- Committed to helping every learner reach their full potential
