An SEN school which Veritas Education work in partnership with are looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher for a short term and long-term cover position.

- £170 - £255 per day (Depending on Pay Scale/Experience) - Full time position.

- Knowledge of SEN education and teaching is essential, along with knowledge round varying curriculum for a range of age groups and needs.

You will be working with children across a range of classes who have varying special needs, including Autism, Complex Physical and Medical Needs, along with challenging behaviours. Ideally you will be adaptable and will be able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and creative lessons for pupils. The classes will be made up of small groups of 6 - 8 children, your timetable will be split around varying groups of pupils.

You will be working in a highly inspired environment teaching the pupils key life skills. This is an area where a lot of the pupils eagerly engage and can express their creative side. As the teacher it is vital to focus the pupils' attention on the task at hand but also allow the pupils to use their imagination as much as possible.

The students are supported by experienced LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) which will work alongside you so that you feel supported within the classroom and can also ensure that all pupils are developing well. The senior leadership team are also very supportive, providing many teaching resources to help assist with creative and visual learning.

This Special Education Needs School is a setting that supports children from 4 - 19 years old, with varying complex behaviour, physical, medical and learning needs.
