Geography Teacher

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a number of mainstream secondary schools based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher. The schools provide a learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their geographical knowledge, critical thinking skills and understanding of the wider world.

The schools are looking for a flexible Geography Teacher to provide supply cover on a day-to-day basis, delivering Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Geography Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, maintain effective classroom management and adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.

The successful Geography Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)

Experience teaching Geography across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4

Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Geography National Curriculum and GCSE requirements

Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills

The ability to differentiate lessons to support students with additional learning needs

A flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
