We’re Axo Consulting, a new kind of development consultancy.
We blend hands‑on developer experience with commercial rigour, helping builders, developers and investors get projects off the ground and keep them on track.
We’re based in Soho, work across London and the South East, and run everything from boutique resi schemes to major mixed‑use projects.
We’re not a big corporate machine — we’re small, sharp, and entrepreneurial. The kind of team that rolls up our sleeves, makes things happen, and genuinely enjoys the process.
The RoleWe’re looking for someone who’s part QS, part Development Manager, and fully switched‑on.
You’ll sit right in the middle of cost, design and delivery. One day running numbers in Excel, the next day walking a site or pushing a design team to find better value.
You’ll work directly with the founders, have client exposure from day one, and play a real part in shaping how projects (and the business) run.
What You’ll Be Doing- Running cost plans, tenders, and procurement for live projects
- Supporting feasibility work and early‑stage development appraisals
- Managing design teams through planning and technical stages
- Driving value engineering and cost efficiency
- Overseeing construction delivery, reporting, and cost control
- Working closely with our clients — from private developers to lenders and funds
- Helping build the internal systems, templates, and tools that scale Axo
- Around 5–7 years’ experience in a QS or Development role
- Commercially minded, confident, and comfortable running your own work streams
- Ideally RICS qualified (or working towards it)
- Fluent in the language of drawings, costs, and spreadsheets
- Entrepreneurial by nature — you like autonomy and accountability
- Collaborative, curious, and not afraid to challenge the status quo
- You’d rather get things done than talk about getting them done
- Hybrid setup, Soho office + site + work from home
