Are you an experienced Technical Manager with a strong background in modular construction?

We are seeking a highly skilled freelance professional to support innovative off‑site manufacturing and construction projects.

As a Freelance Technical Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating design, engineering, and delivery across fast‑paced modular construction programmes for a wide range of clients. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and manufacturers to ensure technical excellence, compliance, and efficient project execution.

• Lead technical coordination across modular design and construction stages
• Review drawings, specifications, and engineering details to ensure buildability and compliance
• Manage design risk, technical queries, and change control processes
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and manufacturing teams
• Support programme delivery through proactive problem‑solving and clear communication

• Proven experience in a Technical Manager or similar role
• Strong background in modular, off‑site, or MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) projects
• Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and technical standards
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a freelance capacity
• Strong organisational and communication skill
