Senior Principal Civil Engineer - Water

Overview

In Leeds, we are excited to have been selected on Yorkshire Water’s Storm Overflow Alliance to deliver their AMP8 capital investment programme. As part of this delivery, we will deliver both outline and detailed design for projects to reduce spills from Combined Sewer Overflows. We will also continue to support Yorkshire Water as their Strategic Planning Partner throughout AMP8, providing outline design and strategic consultancy services to a wide range of projects across Clean/Waste Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure programmes.

We are recruiting a Senior Principal Civil Engineer to join our Leeds city centre team, part of a UK wide group focused on sustainability, the environment and the communities we serve.

As a Senior Principal Civil Engineer, you will work across the entire project lifecycle in asset planning, strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. You will take responsibility for the leadership and mentoring of engineers in the team, and work alongside our project design leads to ensure successful project delivery. You will also have access to Stantec’s expertise to deliver leading edge design, while mentoring our more junior engineers.

• Lead and mentor engineers within the team.
• Contribute to asset planning, strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design across projects.
• Collaborate with project design leads to ensure successful delivery.

We are interested in speaking with passionate engineers with extensive design experience in the UK water industry. You’ll have a degree in Civil Engineering and ideally hold Chartered status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.

You will have experience delivering community focused projects, while working collaboratively with project teams to deliver innovative solutions.

We will support your growth through training and project exposure; prior experience within storm overflows, SUDS, surface water management and sewage treatment would be beneficial.
