Our client is a leading civil engineering and environmental services provider delivering essential infrastructure solutions across Cornwall and beyond. Their work spans highways maintenance, civil engineering, surfacing, coastal protection, environmental management, landscaping, and consultancy services. The organisation is known for its commitment to sustainability, community impact, and delivering long-term social value.

They are investing in digital transformation and adopting BIM (Building Information Modelling) to improve project delivery, collaboration, and efficiency across all disciplines. This is an exciting time to join the team and play a key role in embedding BIM capabilities throughout the business.

We are looking for a proactive and skilled BIM Co-ordinator to join the team. In this role, you will lead the development of BIM processes, support staff upskilling, and help drive the adoption of digital workflows across the organisation. You will act as the go-to expert for BIM standards, processes, and software, supporting project teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical BIM work and coaching others to grow their digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across all projects.
  • Support, train, and mentor staff in BIM processes, software, and best practice.
  • Coordinate project BIM deliverables, ensuring compliance with organisational and client standards.
  • Collaborate with design, civil, structural, and operational teams to integrate BIM into project workflows.
  • Develop and maintain BIM documentation, templates, and libraries.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring efficient use of BIM tools and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot BIM-related issues and provide guidance to project teams.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest BIM developments, technologies, and industry standards, sharing insights with the wider team.
About You
  • Experience in a BIM Co-ordination role, ideally within civil engineering, highways, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards (PAS 1192 / ISO 19650) and digital workflows.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support colleagues.
  • Experience with managing BIM models, clash detection, and project coordination.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to drive adoption and best practice across multiple teams.
  • Interest in digital innovation and continuous improvement within civil engineering projects.
