We are seeking an enthusiastic Bridge / Civil Structures Engineering Technician to join our team, working collaboratively with infrastructure engineers and technicians across the North West and Yorkshire.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and strengthening our reinforced concrete (RC) detailing capability in the region. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including major heavy civils programmes such as the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme, significant rail route upgrades, enhancements and renewals, and a wide range of roads and streets projects.

You will be actively involved in producing RC detailing, 2D drawings and 3D models across all stages of project delivery, from early scheme design through to detailed construction design. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to BIM coordination, and help ensure high‑quality technical outputs that meet project and client requirements.

Alongside technical delivery, you’ll support the development of others, contribute to good practice through Arup’s skills networks, and take advantage of ongoing training, guidance and feedback to support your own professional growth.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is motivated by delivering high‑quality technical outputs. You will bring:

• A sound technical base with experience in civil engineering, ideally with exposure to bridges and civil structures
• Experience producing and checking RC reinforcement drawings, 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and/or Micro Station
• An understanding of BIM processes, including coordination across disciplines and use of information management systems such as Project Wise
• The ability to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and quality in your outputs
