Overview

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Depot Engineer based at our Swindon Depot a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards
  • Carry out the total maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain the stock levels of materials required and ensure that the appropriate tools are in place and ready for use
  • Report and document component failures
  • Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality work to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment
  • Assist, support, and train service crew
  • Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators and prepare test reports as per ISO standards
Qualifications
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject (can include apprenticeship)
  • Experience servicing and repairing large engines (generators, automotive, HGV, PCV/LGV, plant equipment, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery)
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications
  • Well-organised and capable of keeping a vehicle to GSCS standards
