Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team, based in Leeds with agile working arrangements. This is a permanent, full‑time role (36.25 hours per week) within a forward‑thinking engineering consultancy.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a central role within the team, taking ownership of your work and supporting junior colleagues.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as Project Leader on selected schemes
- Contributing as part of a wider team on larger projects
- Attending key meetings and presenting to clients
- Raising technical standards within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Developing into a key point of contact for major clients
- Supporting repeat business through strong client care
- Working on a diverse range of technically challenging projects
- Engaging with clients throughout all project stages
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary colleagues
- Producing drawings, specifications and guiding others on calculations
Our client is looking for candidates with:
- A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards), or HNC/HND with relevant design experience
- Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech and Revit
- Knowledge of British/European Standards and Building Regulations
- Understanding of HTMs (beneficial)
- Professional membership (CIBSE, IET)
- Good understanding of HV/LV systems
- Awareness of embedded generation and renewable technologies
- Working knowledge of BREEAM
- Ability to engage in electrical discussions at meetings
- A proactive attitude and desire to develop professionally
