We are currently seeking Flood Modellers and Flood Analysts at all grades to join our dynamic team. Whether you’re just starting your career or are an experienced professional, if you have a passion for flood management and sustainable water solutions, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview:

As a Flood Modeller at McCloy Consulting, you will be involved in a range of interesting and engaging projects including:

  • Flood Alleviation Projects
  • Surface Water and Urban Drainage Design
  • Natural Flood Management & River Restoration
  • Catchment Management Solutions

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, environmental scientists, and hydrologists to deliver innovative, sustainable flood risk solutions for both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop hydraulic and hydrological models for flood risk assessment.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of flood alleviation and drainage projects.
  • Provide technical support and solutions for surface water management and urban drainage.
  • Participate in natural flood management and river restoration initiatives.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulators to ensure project success.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrology, or related field).
  • Experience with hydraulic and hydrological modelling software (e.g., Info Works ICM, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Understanding of UK and Irish flood risk policy and legislation.
  • For senior positions (inc. experience graduates and above): proven experience in managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and client engagement.
