Project Technical Leader Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell
C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.
This role will be within theMain Civil Works Section.
The CWA is seeking a highly capable Technical Lead to play a key role in delivering a once‑in‑a‑generation infrastructure programme. Based in Suffolk with hybrid working, this position sits section wide and will be instrumental in shaping technical delivery, driving innovation and ensuring high standards across engineering and manufacturing activities.

- Lead the technical direction and delivery of manufacturing and engineering solutions across the transverse scope
- Provide expert guidance to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project standards and objectives
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement and best practice across manufacturing processes
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, Tier 1 contractors and supply chain partners
- Support decision‑making through clear, concise technical insight and risk assessment
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards at all times
- Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing team culture aligned to CWA values of Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity and Clarity
- Proven experience in a Technical Lead or senior engineering role within large infrastructure or manufacturing environments
- Strong technical expertise with the ability to influence and guide complex engineering decisions
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and developing high‑performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple organisations
- A proactive mindset, with a focus on innovation, problem‑solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Commitment to health, safety, wellbeing and environmental standards
