With a focus on Commercial projects, the successful candidate will focus on delivering a range of M&E Engineering Consultancy including Design, Technical Due Diligence, Dilapidations, M&E Audits, Condition Surveys, PPM / Life Cycle Costing to a range of clients.
Responsibilities- Mechanical designer with ability to lead designs and make technical decisions.
- Experience of leading Building Services projects.
- Experience of working across design teams collaboratively, with or as the MEP lead.
- Assisting with the technical and experiential development of subordinate members of Engineering Consultancy department.
- Able to deliver and audit calculations, models and drawings using industry software.
- Commenting on performance and compliance statutory requirements in connection with building engineering services.
- Provide technical quality assurance of designs and reports.
- Undertaking feasibility studies, design and project management of refurbishment and new works.
- Regular client site visits.
- Any other duties for which the position holder is suitable and which falls within the scope of the Engineering Consultancy department.
- Support the team’s business growth strategy individually and collectively with support from team leadership.
- Develop client relationships at project level with existing customers and explore opportunities for future business.
- Support the team to identify business opportunities for Engineering Consultancy.
- Highly developed communicator with the ability to make a good first impression.
- Able to work collaboratively across other disciplines.
- Experience of industry design software.
- Experience of ESG initiatives such as BREEAM, MEES, NABERS.
- Qualified to at least HNC/HND level.
- Ideally hold a relevant Mechanical or Building Services Engineering degree or equivalent;
Chartered status desirable. - Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills.
- Resilient, adaptable and keen and enthusiastic with a hunger to learn and diversify.
- A team player.
- Willing to travel within the Northern region with further opportunities to travel.
- Confident to meet, network and socialize with potential and existing clients.
- Able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.

Due to strong performance and continuous growth, we are currently expanding our Engineering Consultancy team and looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our market leading technical asset management team, on a full time permanent basis.
This role is part of our Engineering Consultancy department who provide a multitude of services across the UK and Europe. The role will be an exciting and diverse one, providing an opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects across a number of sectors. Occasionally this will also include asset management and technical due diligence surveys to support CBRE and T&T's wider teams.
