What You’ll Be Doing

Due to our continued growth, the Buildings & Built Environment Group has a vacancy for a Structural Engineer in our successful Leeds Office. Working in our Structures Service Line, you will be joining an award‑winning team with over 28 years of experience in the design and assessment of a variety of structures on projects with values in excess of £100m. You will be working as part of an ambitious, growing team providing hands‑on structural design for a wide variety of exciting projects across all sectors, from mixed‑use high‑rise developments to large distribution warehouses.

• Technically strong and able to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external design teams and our clients.
• Either a degree in Civil Engineering specialising in Structures, or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Experience producing structural calculations and designs across a range of projects and construction materials.
• Broad engineering skills and understanding of current codes of practice across all main construction materials.
• Comfortable with hand calculations and spreadsheets and experienced at using 3D modelling design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS and RAM; knowledge of Tekla is preferable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, practical, and economic design sketches for structural technicians.
