At WSP, we are expanding our Building Structures team in the UK, delivering capital national infrastructure projects in the energy sector. We are looking for an experienced leader to take a strategic role in shaping the future of UK energy infrastructure.
Role OverviewAs an Associate or Associate Director, you will lead the delivery of structural engineering services for major energy infrastructure projects, including Transmission and Distribution networks, Overhead Line (OHL) systems, power stations, and other critical energy assets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the structural design and delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects.
- Provide strategic input into project planning, resourcing, and risk management.
- Deliver structural solutions for substations, transmission and distribution facilities, OHL structures, and power stations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Contribute to business development, including bids, proposals, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions.
- Support the development of best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional body.
- Significant experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.
