Geotechnical Engineer

Location:

Leeds
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing Leeds office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality geotechnical and geoenvironmental solutions across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that invests heavily in employee development and offers clear career progression.

You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial developments, taking projects from site investigation through to detailed geotechnical design.

The Geotechnical Engineer Role

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Planning and supervising ground investigations.
Logging soil and rock samples to current standards.
Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
Carrying out geotechnical analysis and foundation recommendations.
Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams.
Assisting with slope stability, retaining wall and foundation design.
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Requirements

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

Experience with in a UK geotechnical consultancy.
Knowledge of UK ground investigation practices.
Experience producing geotechnical reports.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
