An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Engineering Geologist to join a well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy based in Leeds.

This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial projects across the UK while developing your technical and site experience within a supportive team.

The successful Assistant Engineering Geologist will split their time between site work and office-based reporting, gaining exposure to every stage of ground investigation projects.

The Role:

Supervising ground investigation works, including drilling rigs and trial pits.
Logging soil and rock to current industry standards.
Collecting soil, rock and groundwater samples.
Carrying out in-situ testing and monitoring installations.
Factual reporting and assisting with interpretative reports.
Liaising with contractors and clients on site.
Supporting geotechnical and geoenvironmental project delivery.

Requirements:

MEng in Engineering Geology or a closely related discipline.
Previous site investigation experience through employment or placements is desirable.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Full UK driving licence.
A willingness to work outdoors and travel to sites across the region.
A positive attitude and eagerness to develop within the engineering geology sector.
