BMS Commissioning Engineer
VIGO are looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join a growing team, based from their Leeds office and delivering projects across Yorkshire.
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious BMS business who are at their next stage of growth, with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities to develop as the business continues to expand.
They re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
The RoleYou will be based from the Leeds office and work across a variety of BMS projects throughout Yorkshire.
You will take ownership of the commissioning process on your projects, working closely with Project Managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure systems are delivered correctly and on time.
Responsibilities- Taking BMS projects through the commissioning process from start to finish
- Commissioning Trend and Tridium control systems
- Functional testing of BMS components and associated systems
- Identifying, diagnosing and resolving technical issues on site
- Reviewing system operation against design specifications and control strategies
- Working alongside Project Managers to deliver projects against agreed programmes
- Coordinating with other trades and building systems during commissioning
- Acting as a technical point of contact for clients while on site
- Producing accurate commissioning documentation and reports
- Providing technical support and guidance where required
- Ensuring completed systems operate efficiently and meet the required project specification
- Strong BMS commissioning experience
- Good Trend experience
- Good Tridium / Niagara experience
- Experience commissioning projects independently from start to finish
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
- Good understanding of BMS control strategies
- Strong technical knowledge of building controls
- Confidence working directly with clients and other project stakeholders
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage your own workload across projects throughout Yorkshire
