Financial Accountant

Position: Financial Accountant (Permanent)
Hybrid financial accountant role (2 days WFH) with a professional services company based in Leeds centre. This position is open for an industry move or a 1st move from practice.

You will support the organisation’s financial accounting operations, lead on statutory annual reporting, and support the audit process. You’ll provide accurate financial information to internal teams and external stakeholders, while helping evolve financial systems and processes for continued improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Produce statutory accounts, including detailed financial disclosures.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns and reconcile VAT accounts.
Deliver financial reporting and information for senior management.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Support process improvements.
Collaborate across the wider finance team, including coaching less-experienced colleagues.
Skills & Experience

Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
Strong background in financial and statutory accounting/reporting.
Experience auditing or working closely with auditors.
Ability to produce high-quality financial reports for leadership.
Proven ability to identify and implement process or control improvements.
