We’re working with a well-established and fast-growing UK asset management company to recruit a Senior Client Accountant for their Leeds-based finance team.
This is a key role within a high-performing client finance function, offering a mix of technical accounting, client interaction, and analysis. You’ll work closely with internal asset management teams and senior stakeholders while supporting a diverse portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll take ownership of client accounting and reporting, ensuring high-quality financial information is delivered accurately and on time.
Responsibilities include:
Preparation and review of management accounts (P&L, balance sheets, reconciliations)
Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packs
Posting and reviewing journals in line with relevant accounting frameworks
Reconciliation of income and timely remittance of funds to clients
Supporting clients and internal teams in interpreting financial information
Reviewing arrears reporting and escalating issues where required
Attending regular client calls with multiple stakeholders
Assisting with year-end audits and responding to auditor queries
Producing monthly MI and performance analysis, working closely with Asset Management
Supporting budgeting and forecasting for property portfolios
Overseeing month-end close processes
Mentoring and supporting junior client accountants
About You
You’ll be a confident, proactive accountant who enjoys ownership and variety, with a strong client-focused mindset.
Essential requirements:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
Strong technical accounting background or Audit background
Excellent Excel skills
Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Comfortable working with clients and senior stakeholders
