This opportunity is with a well‑established organisation in the Education sector dedicated to excellence in financial management within the accounting and finance department. The client is a reputable education establishment based in central Oxford.

• Give financial advice to departments, helping them plan budgets and use resources wisely.
• Take charge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, spotting risks and opportunities early.
• Provide clear monthly reports and analysis, ensuring problems are fixed quickly.
• Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting to make things more efficient.
• Analyse data, present insights simply, and recommend practical actions.
• Support divisional finance projects and continuous improvements.

• Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) or strong equivalent background.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting, and planning in a large organisation.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain finance clearly to non‑financial staff.
• Proactive with strong teamwork skills.
• Good IT skills, especially Excel and financial systems.
• Organised, problem‑solving mindset, able to meet deadlines.

• Salary ranging between £50,000 and £63,000.
• Opportunity to work in a respected education organisation.
• Fixed‑term contract position, 9–12 months.
