You’ll lead on high impact capital planning, regulatory activities, and market facing initiatives while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Capital

Planning & Regulatory Support
  • Support the production of capital and remittance plans to ensure effective deployment and repatriation of capital across the group.
  • Prepare dividend proposals and related governance documentation.
  • Deliver updates to the Capital Allocation Framework (CAF) and capital recovery plans in line with regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to Solvent Exit Analysis and Resolution Planning activities.
Lloyd’s & Market-Facing Activities
  • Manage activities relating to Lloyd’s distribution, FAL refinancing, and open year distribution, including coordination with Group Treasury, banks and Lloyd’s.
  • Support Tier 2 capital applications, working closely with the legal team to ensure compliant and timely submissions.
Strategic Capital Management
  • Support the development of capital and platform strategy, ensuring alignment with broader group objectives.
  • Provide ad hoc capital management input into strategic initiatives and legacy transactions (e.g., Loss Portfolio Transfers, Adverse Development Covers).
  • Lead or contribute to commutations strategy and execution.
  • Conduct solvency benchmarking to inform decision making and competitive positioning.
Stakeholder & Cross Functional Engagement
  • Act as a key liaison with Group stakeholders on group wide initiatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
About You
  • Qualified actuary or accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of Solvency II, including technical provisions and capital requirements.
  • Broad understanding of actuarial concepts across reserving and capital modelling.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and multiple accounting bases (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
  • Familiarity with the Lloyd’s market and its capital framework.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and cross functional teams.
  • Highly structured approach to managing complex tasks involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear presentations.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of the broader business and market environment.
