What you'll be responsible for?
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering robust month-end close processes for EU Retail and Procurement, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial control across SAP systems. You'll prepare sales and margin analysis, lead rolling SG&A cost centre forecasts, and provide forward‑looking price variance insights to support procurement. You'll maintain high standards of financial accounting discipline through P&L and balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and audit support.
You'll also work closely with budget holders to manage fixed costs, support the creation of budgets and forecasts and prepare key data sets for year‑end standards processes. Acting as a trusted partner to the Head of Finance, you'll provide ad hoc analysis, support continuous improvement, and contribute to a culture of accuracy, collaboration and financial excellence.
The role will require attendance across Stokesley/Leeds sites as appropriate to support the finance and functional leadership teams. Typically, you will be based on‑site 2‑3 days per week with flexibility to work remotely when required.
QualificationsPresentable background in an accounting position within industry, comfortable in reporting, data analysis and assisting in the production of management accounts.
- Be currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Ideally present a background of working in a manufacturing organisation previously
- Excellent analysis/system skills with confidence to report from SAP, along with a high level of proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with a variety of colleagues at different levels across the organisation
