Senior Manager - Financial Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Financial Accounting to join YBS. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting function, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, and contributing to the strategic direction of our finance department.

• Lead and manage the financial accounting team to deliver high-quality results.
• You’ll be responsible for accounting policies across the society and delivering the new accounting standards.
• You will oversee the preparation and delivery of statutory as well as regulatory reporting (reporting can vary from between monthly, quarterly and annual basis).
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Drive improvements in accounting processes and systems.
• Provide expert guidance and support on complex accounting matters.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support decision-making.
• Manage the external audit and liaise with external auditors.

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Experience working in Financial Services.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting, ideally in a senior management capacity.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
