Accounts Assistant, Sherburn in Elmet, £26-£30,000

An established business based in Sherburn in Elmet is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team. As Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Maintaining the Purchase Ledger
• Processing supplier payments
• Raising and issuing sales invoices
• Chasing outstanding payments to ensure timely cash flow
• Identifying and resolving documentation discrepancies
• Updating and maintaining internal spreadsheets
• Reconciling credit card transactions

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role
• Strong IT skills, including Excel (Sage 50 experience desirable, but training can be provided)
• Knowledge of VAT
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
