Head of Finance

Head of Finance | Leeds / Hybrid | £70,000–£80,000 + bonus

Commercially minded, hands‑on Head of Finance required to lead the finance function and strengthen the reporting, control and financial visibility needed to support the next stage of this business’s growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long‑established, family‑led business with a strong reputation in workplace design, planting and related services. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of finance in a growing SME environment, delivering robust reporting, better commercial insight and tighter financial control.

• Delivering accurate monthly management accounts with clear commentary and insight
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Improving financial reporting, KPIs and performance visibility
• Strengthening controls, processes and finance discipline
• Supporting leadership with analysis and decision support
• Taking full ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function

• Experienced in an SME or owner‑managed business
• Strong in management accounts, forecasting, cash flow and control
• Hands‑on, pragmatic and commercially aware
• Comfortable working closely with non‑finance stakeholders
• Motivated by improving and building, not simply maintaining
• Experience in project‑led, service‑led or operational SME environments would be advantageous

• A visible leadership role with real ownership
• Direct access to the Managing Director and key decision makers
• The opportunity to shape and strengthen the finance function
