Leeds | Office-Based with Flexible Start/Finish Times | £30,000 - £40,000 DOE + Study Support

This is a genuinely good opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond purely transactional finance and become more involved in the commercial and month-end side of the function.

You’ll be joining a well-established professional services business with a friendly, down-to-earth culture and a finance team that works closely with the wider operation. The role has been created for someone who wants to build their knowledge, contribute to the wider team and continue progressing professionally.

The Finance Manager is looking for someone who can support with the day-to-day running of the accounts function while also getting involved in month-end and commercial finance activities, helping free up time for more strategic work.

This is a broad finance role with a good mix of transactional accounting, month-end support and commercial exposure.

You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager across multiple areas of the function, supporting reporting, reconciliations and day-to-day finance operations while gradually building wider finance knowledge and responsibility.

The business is particularly keen to find someone who enjoys understanding the "why" behind the numbers and wants to continue progressing professionally.

They’re ideally looking for someone who:

• Is AAT qualified or actively studying
• Has experience across transactional finance
• Has had some exposure to month-end or management accounts
• Wants to develop commercially and progress further within finance
• Is proactive, detail-focused and willing to get involved
• Takes ownership of their work and enjoys working as part of a team

This role would particularly suit someone who wants to build towards a Finance Manager position longer term.

The role is based in Leeds, working within a collaborative and sociable office environment.

The business offers flexibility around working hours, with a 37.5‑hour week and start times between 8am and 9am.
