Description

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Contribute to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register and processing depreciation.
Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice management.
Support the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responses.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

Actively studying towards their ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualifications
Have previous experience in a fast paced, month end related role
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Enthusiasm for developing a career in accounting and finance.
