Assistant Management Accountant

Michael Page is partnering with a business in Leeds City Centre to add an Assistant Management Accountant to their growing finance team. The client seeks a proactive, driven individual with a strong transactional finance foundation who wants long‑term progression into month‑end management accounts.

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable processes
• Process invoices, weekly payment runs, receipts and supplier notes
• Manage end‑to‑end accounts receivable processes
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts – accruals, prepayments, journals, etc.
• Support the reconciliation of balance sheets and bank accounts
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management
• Work closely with other departments to provide finance support
• Support the finance team with ad‑hoc reporting and projects

• Relevant experience in an Assistant Accountant or progressive Accounts Assistant role
• Finance or Accounting graduates preferred but not essential
• Aspirations to study ACCA or CIMA
• Keen attention to detail and analytical skills
• Passion for continuous improvement and personal development
• Proactive attitude toward learning
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

• Competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £37,000 GBP
• Hybrid working – 3 days onsite, 2 days at home
