The Opportunity

As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance services whilst identifying and supporting tax planning opportunities.

You will work closely with Partners and Directors, providing exceptional client service and helping clients navigate increasingly complex tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients
  • Prepare and review Self-Assessment Tax Returns
  • Prepare and review Corporation Tax Returns and computations
  • Ensure all compliance work is completed accurately and on time
  • Support senior leadership with tax planning and advisory assignments
  • Identify opportunities to add value and improve clients' tax efficiency
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, responding to queries and providing technical guidance
  • Liaise directly with HMRC on client matters
  • Support and mentor junior members of the tax team
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities where appropriate
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
  • 3-5+ years' UK accountancy practice tax experience
  • Experience managing a client portfolio within a practice environment
  • Strong knowledge of Personal Tax and/or Corporate Tax compliance
  • Excellent understanding of current UK tax legislation
  • Experience preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
    • CTA qualified, part-qualified or studying
    • ATT qualified
    • ACA or ACCA qualified with a tax specialism
    • Experience of tax advisory work and planning assignments
    • Experience using tax and accounts software such as Digita, Xero, Sage, Quick Books or similar systems
