About this opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Relationship Manager to join our team in Leeds. Our team supports a portfolio of Mid‑Markets clients with an annual turnover between £50m and £500m and helps grow and bring more of the bank's proposition to our customers.

You’ll be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs, including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services.

Roles and responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service to clients, putting them at the heart of what you do and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Support your Relationship Director and act as the go‑to banker in your geographic area of responsibility. Maintain a high profile with external influencers and the local business community.
  • Provide a range of funding solutions to clients from working capital to term lending.
  • Build relationships with Group Partner companies and Specialist Client Solution teams, and bring the whole bank to the client to deliver products that meet their needs.
  • Support clients with treasury management needs, exploring ways to deposit cash balances to best align with their business needs.
  • Manage the risk and compliance of your client portfolio.
Requirements
  • Proven commercial banking and mid‑market experience, with strong client origination, financial analysis, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and report writing skills.
  • Results focused – ready to deliver results, accept change and use a growth mindset to focus on client outcomes.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals and achieving higher value new client relationships.
  • In‑depth knowledge of clients, using specialist credit and sector knowledge along with digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences while growing income, balance sheet and market share, and managing associated risks.
  • Growth mindset and keen to adopt and use key tools that improve the client experience.
  • Commitment to strong ethics and integrity across a range of clients, prospects and professionals.
  • Environmental awareness to promote the bank’s image.
