Sharp Consultancy are working with a well-known and well respected organisation in Leeds who is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to support the delivery of their day-to-day finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance or accounts administration experience who enjoys working with numbers and building strong working relationship.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, supporting payroll and management reporting, and helping us deliver excellent service across the organisation
About the RoleReporting to the Head of Finance
, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting a range of finance activities, including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, payroll administration and reporting.
Process customer invoices, supplier invoices, journals and other financial transactions accurately and on time.
Support the preparation of monthly payroll to ensure staff are paid correctly and on schedule.
Assist with the production of monthly management accounts and reporting deadlines.
Carry out credit control activities and contribute to cash flow forecasting.
Prepare BACS payments, process bank transactions and complete bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records using spreadsheets and Xero accounting software.
Support month-end processes, account reconciliations and accruals.
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working in a finance, accounts or administrative role.
Has experience processing invoices, journals, expenses and other financial transactions.
Is confident handling credit control activities.
Has experience supporting payroll processes.
Is proficient in spreadsheets and ideally has experience using Xero.
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Communicates clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
Is committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance or a related subject (or working towards), or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualifications (or studying towards them) would be advantageous.
12 month contract
20 hours per week
Competitive salary £30,000 FTE
