Acquisition & Development Manager

The role holder will support the Commercial Director and wider Executive team in providing financial and commercial decision support to help drive the identification and delivery of strategic growth opportunities within North Bay Group.

North Bay has grown materially in recent years and has significant growth ambitions in the next 5-10 years. This role will be pivotal to delivering the growth agenda. The role will support all forms of growth including new build developments, existing service reprovision and operational acquisitions.

Key areas of work

• Bespoke financial modelling to support both assessment of new opportunities and monitoring performance of operational services to ensure effective prioritization of capital investment and adherence with funding covenants respectively
• Research and financial analysis over prospective M&A, tender and development opportunities
• Producing business cases and reporting for the monthly Investment Committee
• Ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic business projects as needed for MD's and Senior Management
• Post investment reviews
• Strong communicator both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Able to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders within a business environment

Skills and experience

• Qualified accountant
• Educated at a degree level with strong academic record
• Strong experience with Excel for financial appraisals and modelling, including creation of bespoke financial forecasts
• Experience reviewing, analysing and challenging investment proposals using commercial judgement to ensure that risks and opportunities are identified and understood
• Healthcare experience is nice to have, but not essential
• Corporate finance experience or transaction services nice to have but is not essential

Practicalities

• Reporting directly to Commercial Director
• Location flexible, Hybrid working model within requirement to attend Leeds Head Office when needed and some requirement to travel within the UK as required.
