Senior Finance Assistant

This role is available to current employees within the Finance Service at the University of Leeds only

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements

Are you a part-qualified accountant or an accounting technician or qualified by experience? Would you like to be part of a busy team providing high quality, customer-focused support to a vibrant, cross-disciplinary faculty? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and organise your work and to produce accurate work under pressure?

We are looking for a part qualified accountant/accounting technician or qualified by experience individual to assist the Faculty Accountants in providing an effective and efficient financial support service across the Faculty. You will be based in the Faculty Finance Office, but will need to work closely with colleagues in the Faculty’s constituent Schools, Centres and Institutes as well as those in Corporate Services.

With experience of monitoring actual income and expenditure against budget and of preparing variance analysis, you will have excellent IT and analytical skills and the ability to use Microsoft Excel. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team player and to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people.
