Senior Management Accountant –Opex

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 14 months

Senior Management Accountant to join ourUKOpexFinance team. This role willbe responsible forthe preparation,reviewand deliveryofhighqualitymanagement information,providing meaningful insight into business performance and supporting stakeholders with effective decision making.

This is an excellent opportunity for apart‑qualifiedor newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) looking to further develop their technicalexpertiseand business partnering skills within a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownershipofspecific P&L areas within the monthly management accounts forUKOpex, ensuring accuracy,completeness and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare, review and challenge accruals and prepayments, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and robust supporting documentation.
  • Deliver clear and insightful monthly

    Opexreporting, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Provide high-qualitycommentary and analysis, highlighting key drivers, risks and opportunities affecting performance.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues areidentifiedand resolved promptly.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to support monthly reforecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Activelyidentifyand implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency,control and quality of Opexreporting andmonth-end processes.
  • Respond toad-hocfinancial analysis and reporting requests from senior stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA preferred).
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with experience of management accounting and month end close.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into clear business insight.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively withnon-financestakeholders and challenge constructively where appropriate.
  • Well organised and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, collaborative and solutions focused, with a continuous improvement mindset.
