Banking Solicitor, NQ, £57,000, Top-Tier Leeds Firm, Leeds This is a chance to join a large banking and finance team in Leeds that is still growing, with lawyers from NQ right through to partner. The team gets through a high volume of deals on quick turnarounds. For a junior lawyer, that means running a steady stream of your own matters rather than working on a small part of one large transaction, and your experience builds quickly as a result.
Clients range from mainstream and challenger banks to alternative and asset-based lenders, debt funds and private equity investors. The team acts for borrowers too, so you'll see deals from both sides. Work covers acquisition finance, real estate investment and development finance, asset-based lending and refinancing, which leaves plenty of room to find your own specialism. Corporate, real estate and restructuring sit under the same roof and work closely with banking, so referrals flow regularly between teams and you'll see how each deal fits into the client's wider plans.
