About the Job This temporary Finance Business Partner position will provide hands-on financial support across the organisation.
Working closely with senior finance colleagues and school leadership teams, you will support budgeting, reporting, payroll monitoring and day-to-day financial processes, helping stakeholders maintain effective financial control. Duties will include:
Preparing and maintaining budgets and medium-term financial forecasts. Producing monthly financial reports and monitoring revenue and capital expenditure. Reconciling payroll against budgets, investigating discrepancies and assisting with payroll calculations. Acting as a key finance contact and responding to day-to-day queries. Maintaining purchase ledger activity and reviewing outstanding purchase orders at month-end. Processing and reviewing accruals, prepayments and deferred or accrued income.
Supporting banking activities and accurately recording transactions. Providing financial information and analysis to senior finance colleagues and school leadership. Advising on purchasing decisions and helping stakeholders achieve value for money. Using accounting, budgeting and Excel-based systems to maintain accurate financial records. Supporting compliance with relevant financial, audit and reporting requirements. About the Successful Applicant You will have a strong background in budgeting, reporting and financial management.
You will be confident using Excel and accounting systems, highly organised and able to manage competing deadlines. Previous experience within education or a similar environment would be beneficial.
