We’re excited to offer acareer grade opportunity within the Planning Policy Team at Norwich City Council – a chance to develop your skills and grow through the stages of becoming a professional planner, from Grade 4 to Grade 7.

This role has become available due to internal progression within the team, and we’re keen to support someone who’s ready to take the next step in their journey. Whether you're just starting out or already building your experience, this is a brilliant opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of planning work – from shaping local policy and contributing to strategic frameworks, to engaging with communities and supporting sustainable development.

You’ll be joining the team at an exciting time, as we move into Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and help shape the future of planning across the region. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues, with opportunities to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility as you progress through the grades.
