Leeds | £49,000–£62,000 plus bonus

Our client is an independent planning consultancy with a national office network and a strong pipeline of work. It is now seeking a Associate Town Planner in Leeds to support continued growth and take a leading role on complex projects.

• Prepare clear planning appraisals, statements and strategic advice.
• Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
• Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
• Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
• Review work produced by junior colleagues and support their development.
• Contribute to fee proposals, client development and the commercial management of projects.

Mr TPI; consultancy experience; ability to lead applications and maintain client relationships. You should also be organised, dependable and able to explain planning issues in straightforward language. The business is interested in people who value good advice and long-term client relationships rather than unnecessary internal politics.

The salary is £49,000–£62,000 plus bonus. The wider package includes bonus, healthcare, enhanced pension, hybrid working and progression to Associate Director. Exact arrangements will depend on experience and will be discussed openly during the process.
