HEALTH, SAFETY AND RESILIENCE HEALTH, SAFETY AND RESILIENCE OFFICER PO1 (SCP 29 - 32) £39,862 - £42,839 Attractive employer pension contribution 1x Permanent , 37 hours per week
Location:
Based at Antrim Civic Centre but may be required to work from any Council site or facility within the Borough. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To support the Health Safety and Resilience Manager with the delivery of the departmental H&S Business Plan across Council to include assisting with all matters in relation to health, safety and wellbeing, development, promotion, implementation and review of Health Safety and Wellbeing Procedures and Plan and assisting services to fulfil their duties by providing health and safety advice and guidance To support the Health Safety and Resilience Manager by Developing, promoting, implementing and reviewing Council's Emergency Planning and Business Continuity arrangements as laid down in the civil contingencies framework, including the maintenance an d of the range of policies , plans and protocols associated with Emergency and Business Continuity planning, response and recovery.

The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 7 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. (A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information) The process will include the following:
Unseen presentation and interview. A reserve list will be created for this post for a 12 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
