Fire Safety Consultant - Leeds
Work Nest, a growing fire consultancy practice, invites you to join as a Senior Fire Safety Consultant and help protect people and places with confidence and care.
Responsibilities- Undertake fire risk assessments across diverse premises, including complex and sleeping risk environments.
- Provide expert advice and practical solutions in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, Approved Codes of Practice, and current fire safety guidance.
- Support the Head of Fire Safety with on‑site workplace assessments, quality assurance of fire risk assessments, and operational resilience.
- Deliver fire safety training and assist clients with general health and safety needs such as workplace inspections and audits.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments, especially in complex and sleeping risk premises.
- Level 3 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent.
- Experience with compartmentation and fire door surveys, and strong knowledge of Approved Document B, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and BS 9999/9991.
- Accreditation with IFE, IFSM, FRACS, or IFPO (essential).
- Detail‑focused, confident in supporting clients and fellow consultants.
- Strong communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Regional and national travel required; flexibility essential.
- Health and safety qualifications and IOSH or IIRSM membership desirable.
- Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum plus £5,000 car allowance.
