Perform routine and complex blood transfusion testing (group & screen, antibody identification, cross matching) in accordance with laboratory SOPs and UK regulatory standards, ensuring safe and timely issue of blood products.
Support urgent and emergency transfusion workflows, maintaining accuracy under pressure while communicating effectively with clinical teams.
Ensure full compliance with quality systems, including documentation, QC, validation, and adherence to MHRA/BSQR, ISO, and local governance requirements.
Contribute to day-to-day laboratory operations on a contract basis, including shift participation, stock management, and continuous improvement of transfusion practices.
