Job Title:

Registered Manager – Residential Mental Health Service

Location:

Leeds
Salary: £44,930.50 – £51,616.50 per annum (DOE)

Hours:

37.5 hours per week (including on‑call)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 5–6 bed residential service supporting young people aged 16–30 with complex mental health needs and eating disorders.

You will hold overall responsibility for regulatory compliance, leadership of the staff team, and the delivery of safe, effective, person‑centred care in line with CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, statutory requirements, and internal governance processes
  • Lead and develop the staff team through supervision, performance management, and effective workforce planning
  • Oversee care planning, risk management, safeguarding, and physical health monitoring in line with NICE guidance
  • Work collaboratively with the MDT to deliver integrated, evidence‑based and person‑centred care
  • Monitor KPIs, incidents, complaints, audits, and budgets to drive continuous improvement
  • Act as the main point of contact for commissioners, NHS teams, local authorities, and external stakeholders
About You
  • Minimum 12 months’ recent management experience within residential services, including at least 2 years in a Residential/Registered Manager role
  • Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of mental health, safeguarding, and CQC‑regulated environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and maintain high‑quality care standards
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to participate in an on‑call rota
Desirable
  • Experience with in eating disorder services
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
