The role involves providing physical and practical support to a young, intelligent adult to help her live independently. Duties include personal care, household tasks, assistance with university work, and support during community activities such as swimming.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with personal care (e.g. hair washing, dressing)
- Prepare meals and hot drinks; perform kitchen duties
- Support with household chores (cleaning, laundry, tidying)
- Prompt and assist with medication
- Scribe for emails and university assignments
- Assist with computer and electronic device use
- Help prepare for daily activities (e.g. packing a bag)
- Support during community outings and swimming (physical presence in water)
- Maintain accurate records (e.g. timesheets, financial logs)
- Attend training sessions as required
- Uphold confidentiality and follow employer’s instructions
- Female (genuine occupational requirement due to personal care)
- Good verbal and written English
- Ability to cook, clean, and follow instructions
- Patient, caring, and reliable
- Flexible and punctual
- Comfortable working around an assistance dog
- Willingness to learn and work independently
- Must complete a DBS check
- Ability to swim
- Driving licence
- Experience as a Support Worker or Personal Assistant
- Experience working with disabled individuals
- Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19
